Challenge

The Center for Global Health Delivery, Diplomacy & Economics, a joint venture between UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, is a central hub that pulls together faculty and researchers from both universities that are working in global health implementation science and diplomacy. This consortium needed a robust and flexible website to catalog all of its projects, people and partners, along with related news and events.

Solution

Drupal was the perfect platform choice for this project, due to how easy-to-edit the CMS is, its emphasis on usability and accessibility, and its flexibility in terms of defining relationships between content. There are many relationships between content types, including between people and projects, organizations and projects, news and projects, and various other taxonomies / categories.

Interactive Map

You can browse or search projects via a list view, or if you choose to you can see them all on a global map. The map is a useful way to browse projects by location, and to see at a glance where UC Berkeley and UCSF are working together on global health projects.
