The Challenge

BISP connects international students with UC Berkeley's academic offerings, but their previous website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and not mobile-friendly. Key audiences—including prospective students, partner universities, and host faculty—struggled to find relevant information quickly. The BISP team needed a modern, accessible platform that better reflected the program’s global reputation and made engagement seamless.

Our Approach

Black Antelope led a full redesign and rebuild of the BISP website in Drupal. We conducted stakeholder interviews to clarify goals, restructured the site’s content to align with user needs, and created a clean, intuitive interface designed for international audiences. Our team ensured WCAG-accessibility compliance, responsive design across devices, and seamless content management for the BISP staff.

I would say, first and foremost, their ability to communicate and support the client is superb. The delivery itself is also excellent, and we’re very happy and proud of the website. There was a lot of trust that was established early on and we felt like we were in good hands. The website launch and backend migration went very smoothly.
