Wordpress is one of the world’s most popular blogging platforms. It’s easy to use and is also open-source and easy to customize. A little known fact is that it works great as a basic Content Management System, because over the years Wordpress has added features such as custom taxonomies and custom posts types. If you want to blog but also have a more full-featured site, Wordpress would be a good option. BuddyPress is a more recent addition to the Wordpress family allowing us to tightly integrate social network features into Wordpress sites.
