Having a content management system (CMS) gives you the freedom to create and edit content, without needing to be a coder. Most CMSes nowadays give you the ability to define page/content types which consist of various text fields, images, or other bits of information. Categorization is also an important piece of the puzzle, and all of the CMSes that we use have robust capabilities in the way of hierarchical tags and taxonomies. We have extensive experience with a few open-source platforms including Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla. Not only are these all great systems for content management, but they're all very flexible and incredible foundations for highly customized functionality.
